Sky Meadows: Site Photographs

Back view of Mt. Bleak

Front View of Mt. Bleak showing washhouse in back

Panoramic view from the back porch. Except for a modern pole barn in the distance, the view is largely unchanged from the 1860's

The original summer kitchen (Kathryn Coombs and Jess Wise in foreground). Because it is original, we cannot cook in here but we can do interpretation.

Two views of the interior of the wash house. As this is a repro of a building that burned down years ago, we CAN cook on this fireplace, and we can sleep in here.

The ice house is in the basement of the washhouse.
We are allowed to use it to keep provisions cool

View of the barn and paddock area where horses may be kept (no horses allowed within the immediate perimeter of the house)

Interior view of the original summer kitchen

Reproduction floorcloth in the dining room, copied from a remnant of an original floor cloth found in the attic.
