  • Straw Bonnet Workshop for Highland County Historical Society:
    In March, 2003, AGSAS conducted a workshop on decorating a straw bonnet to assist women in the local community who "dress out" for the biennial McDowell event to have authentic headgear. Here's the link to the

  • Period Sewing Day at Cleydael, February 2003
    In February, 2003, we held a one-day event at historic Cleydael in King George County, portraying the Civil War era owners of Cleydael, their relations and neighbors discussing whether to form a soldiers aid society. A
